Privacy policy
What this site collects, which is very little, and what happens to it.

PricingAlmanac is operated by an independent developer based in Indonesia ("we", "us"). This policy
explains what happens to information when you visit pricingalmanac.com. It is written to be read rather than to be
survived, and it describes what the site actually does today.
The short version
- There are no accounts, no logins and no newsletter.
- No analytics of any kind currently run on this site. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no pixel, no session recording.
- The site sets no cookies of its own, and today serves no third-party scripts at all.
- Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone except the hosting provider that serves you the page.
- If you email us, we have your email address, because that is how email works. It is used to reply and nothing else.
What is collected automatically
These pages are static files served through Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare records technical information about each request in order to deliver it and to protect the site from abuse: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user-agent string, and the referring page if there is one.
We do not receive, store or query these logs at an individual level, do not combine them with anything else, and do not use them to build any profile of you. Cloudflare processes them as our hosting provider under its own data processing terms.
Cookies
PricingAlmanac sets no cookies. Cloudflare may set a cookie strictly necessary to its security and load-balancing functions; it is not used for advertising or analytics, and there is nothing about it to consent to or opt out of because the site would not be served without it.
Advertising
No advertising currently runs on this site. The section below describes what will apply when it does, and this sentence will be removed at that point.
We intend to fund hosting through display advertising served by Google AdSense. When that is enabled:
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- Google's own description of what it collects when you use a partner's site is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will be shown a consent notice before any advertising cookie is set, and personalised advertising will not be served without consent.
Advertising will never be allowed to influence what appears on a page. Ads are placed in reserved slots that carry no relationship to the products being compared, and no advertiser has any input into a figure, a ranking or a computed statement. If an affiliate relationship is ever entered into, it will be disclosed on the page it affects and on the about page before it takes effect.
Data about companies, not about you
Most of what is stored by this project is not personal data at all: it is published pricing information about software products, read from companies' own public pricing pages. That record is what the site exists to publish, and the methodology describes how it is collected. It contains no information about visitors.
If you email us
Correspondence sent to hello@pricingalmanac.com is kept for as long as it is useful to keep — a correction, for instance, is worth retaining as a record of why a figure changed. It is never added to a mailing list, never used for marketing, and never passed to anyone else. Ask, and it will be deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to its processing, or to receive a copy of it. This includes rights under the UK and EU GDPR and under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
In practice we hold almost nothing: unless you have emailed us, there is very likely no personal data about you here at all. We have never sold or shared personal information, and there is no mechanism by which we could. Requests go to hello@pricingalmanac.com and are answered within one month.
Children
This site is a business-software reference and is not directed at children. No information is knowingly collected from anyone under 16.
Changes
Material changes — in particular, enabling advertising — will be reflected here before they take effect, and the review date at the top of this page will change with them.
